Roanaldo Bunzo Mvungi

Mountain Guide and Operation Manager

My Name is Roanaldo Bunzo Mvungi. I was born in the hills of the Usamabra Mountains 38 years ago. I grew up in the village of Kibaoni cha Longoi, where I went to primary school then Magamba Secondary School. In 1995 I traveled from my village in Kibaoni cha longoi in Lushoto to Machame village to visit my eldest brother who was ranger of Kilimanjaro National Park at Machame post. The reason for visiting him to seek an opportunity for high education as my parents they couldn't afford to pay my school fees for further education. When this opportunity was turning in to negative of brought me from my village, I never gave up as life has to carry on in any means. God offered me an opportunity in 1996 when Kilimanjaro National Park announced the training course for mountain guide on Mount Kilimanjaro for those who wished to become a mountain guide.
